This creature is slightly unpleasant on the eye. Trying to improve it's looks it is using the most effective visual items it can find. On it's back it show imagery constructed out of wrappings of consumergoods. Materials made to convince people to want an item.

In this it's a representation of the urban, economic environment it is living in. But it shows also more natural behaviour. As some insect and reptiles change skins to grow, and several animals change fur during the seasons, so is Ecdysis showing every once a while a different look. Trying to keep his imagery fresh and active. The previous look is carelessly discarded. No longer of any value to Ecdysis.
